Ruth is a recently retired career civil servant who has been associated with the Mediation Centre for nearly a decade. Ruth brought an extensive background in Labour Relations to MCSO’s 40-hour Certificate Program, and completed it with, in effect, “distinction”. After completion, she accepted an invitation to be a Member of MCSO’s team of Mediation Coaches. Some three or four years ago, as a volunteer, she became the ‘de facto’ administrator of MCSO’s Mediation Skills Course.
Ruth holds a Master of Business Administration from Queen’s University. She has also completed MCSO’s Advanced Certificate Mediation Skills Training Course.
Ruth has had extensive experience in acquiring both the knowledge and experience to work with the problems of the Elderly. She has been asked by MCSO to combine that knowledge and experience with her considerable administrative skills to assume the role of Co-ordinator of MCSO’s “Elder Mediation Initiative” and intended “Elder Mediation and Advocacy” service.
